Reiki is a gentle yet powerful form of energy healing that originated in Japan. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese words "rei" meaning universal, and "ki" meaning life energy. This ancient practice aims to promote healing, balance, and relaxation on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.

During a Reiki session, a trained practitioner channels universal life energy through their hands, either by lightly touching or holding them slightly above the recipient's body. This energy flows through the practitioner into the recipient, helping to remove energetic blockages and restore the natural flow of energy throughout the body.

Benefits of Reiki may include:

- Deep relaxation and stress reduction
- Pain relief and management
- Enhanced emotional well-being
- Improved sleep quality
- Accelerated healing process
- Increased clarity and focus
- Balancing of energy centers (chakras)

Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle therapy that is suitable for people of all ages and health conditions. It can be used as a standalone treatment or as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical care.

Louise was first drawn to yoga purely for the physical aspect. It was to mend and strengthen her aching body from constantly physically exerting herself with high intensity sports. What she did not realise at the time was that this would be one of the things that would flip her whole world upside down and put her on this amazing path of self-discovery. In June 2014, she completed her 200 YTT with Julia McCabe in Pemberton BC then a 100 HR Yoga Anatomy - Prevention & Therapy training with Julia in May 2018. She has recently completed her 300 HR Advanced Yoga training with Erin Evans & Lydia Zamorano in Canmore, AB. Through her training she has developed a belief in alignment and integrity in one’s practice to ensure a long lasting practice. She understands that there is no one-size-fits-all, and loves to let her spicy personality shine through with thoughtful, fun, and heart filled classes.

Tessa attended her 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in hopes of deepening her own practice but after learning about how much more it is than just poses and shapes, but the beautiful philosophies encompassed by Yoga, she decided she needed to share it with others too.

Because of her ongoing studies in Osteopathy, her classes have shifted and evolved towards conversations with the body; taking time to attune to it and giving it the gratitude it deserves for carrying through this life. Her studies have only solidified her love for yoga, and their shared belief that health is triune: body, mind, and spirit.

Her style is softer, calming, with a moderate amount of verbal guidance through mindful movements, breath, and meditations to deepen the connection with your whole self.

Tessa makes it a point in life to walk among trees often, to eat & share good food, and to always stay curious!

Lara is honored to share the practices of Meditation and Yoga Nidra which she loves so much as it brings her profound peace in her life. She has been on a spiritual path since 2010, searching and experimenting with a Japanese Buddhist tradition and with the teachings of Indian Guru Paramahansa Yogananda. After many years of personal journey she felt the need to train to introduce meditation to others who are seeking depth and meaning in their lives. As her practice expanded, she started to become interested in the benefits of Yoga Nidra, especially after becoming a mom and having less time to meditate and be in a quiet space herself. She is very thankful to Karen Brody, who has guided her through the layers of Daring to Rest Yoga Nidra and worked magic on her mind and body. Lara is thrilled to have the opportunity to share this with you all! She currently lives in the Blaeberry with her family, living a simple life immersed in nature.
